One of the beautiful things about classic car enthusiasts is the passion and dedication that often radiates from them. At all exhibitions and fairs, we inevitably strike up conversations with owners who are completely infatuated with a particular brand or even a specific model. More than once, this has resulted in us spending more time among visitors' parked classic cars than on the exhibition floor itself. Similarly, every classic car has its own large or small following of fans who seek each other out, form clubs, exchange stories and experiences, go on touring trips, and work on the cars together.
There are even enthusiasts whose love has focused on a specific part of classic cars. We would like to introduce you to Buz Ras from Seattle (an epic name, by the way). Buz's love for speedometers can probably be called unique. How a man has completely specialized in repairing speedometers is certainly remarkable. What he says is true, by the way: as a (little) boy, the first thing you do with a sporty car is look at the speedometer to get an idea of the car's top speed. He drives a 1969 Porsche 912 and a 1978 Ducati 900 GT himself. His company has completely specialized in restoring and repairing speedometers. If Buz can't fix it, there is little hope, and seeing how he works, we certainly believe that. Is it always "ready while you wait"?
