About Auto Renaissance

It was in 1984 that we headed to the South of France, unhindered by any expertise but filled with great enthusiasm, in search of “hard DSs”. Along the way, we learned what clutch slippage entailed and how metal-on-metal braking works (or doesn't). With the years came the knowledge, and the enthusiasm remained undiminished. The hobby grew into a business where you can come for all work on your Citroën Type D.

Auto Renaissance specializes in building DSs that precisely meet the wishes of the future owner. Here, you can determine not only the type—DS or ID, Pallas or not, Estate, old or new front end—but also the color of the car and the material for the interior: leather, imitation leather, or fabric.

We are Dan, Maurice, and Marco, a close-knit team that has been together since... the last century. What we have in common is that all three of us have been driving DSs since roughly getting our driver's licenses.

Although it has been years since we turned our hobby into our profession, our enthusiasm has not diminished. The magic of the Citroën DS ensures that we tackle every DS job, from the smallest minor service to the largest possible restoration project, with equal pleasure.
