Triumph TR250
The Triumph TR250 was built between 1967 and 1968 over a period of 15 months by the Triumph Motor Company in England. A total of 8480 units were built, all destined for the American market. Many can now be found outside the United States, primarily in Europe. Today, there are still about 600 left on the planet.

The TR250 was mechanically similar to the successor to the TR5 except for the fuel delivery system. The TR250 received a new suspension system with independent rear suspension from the TR5, but it did not have the TR5 fuel injection system. Instead, the TR250 was equipped with twin Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The inline six-cylinder engine produced 111 hp, 39 hp less than the TR5. The reason for this difference was price pressure in the American market and stricter emission regulations.
The six-cylinder engine with fuel injection of the TR 5 However, it soon no longer met the increasingly stringent American emission standards of the time, and it was decided to market the car there with a detuned engine featuring sealed Stromberg carburetors. Outwardly, the car was virtually identical to the TR 5 but was recognizable by the distinct silver pinstriping across the hood. Only 2.947 TR 5s and 8.484 units of the TR 250 were built until 1968. Understandably, due to their limited numbers, these two models are the most sought-after and highest-priced TRs to be found on the current classic car market.
