The 5.0-liter 32-valve 928 Series 4 with 316 hp was redesigned in several areas, including minor adjustments to the bodywork and an updated interior. The 928 S4 was the fastest 928 at the time. The front spoiler was also redesigned to direct the air under the car as effectively as possible.
