Mustang collection Ford Museum

Mustang enthusiasts can visit the den Hartogh Ford Museum in Hillegom from December 6 to February 28, 2015. This exhibition has been set up especially for the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang.

Van 1964 tot 2014
Just like last year, the Ford Museum has managed to persuade a number of members of Team Mustang Center Nederland (the Dutch Ford Mustang club) to showcase their modified Mustangs. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, and this jubilee was recently celebrated extensively on September 7th by TMCN organizing a major event at Circuit Park in Zandvoort.

“During the winter period, virtually no Mustang owner drives their car, which is why we chose to organize the exhibition during this time.” While last year the focus was on original Mustangs, this time there are a number of modified Mustangs on display, including a 1967 dragster from Firma Voorend in Gendt.

Much enthusiasm
The Mustang models will be displayed in a specially designed room. They come from various periods. The oldest is a 1965 version, but there is also a 2006 supercharged Ford Mustang V6 in the museum hall. Getting the Mustangs together was actually not difficult at all, according to the TMCN. People were very enthusiastic after they received the request to make their cars available for the exhibition. The owners think it is wonderful that their Mustang is in a museum. All the cars are in top condition and often look just as beautiful on the underside as on the outside.

Access
The museum admission fee is €9, but children aged 4 and under can enter for free. For children aged 5 to 12, the price is €7,50, and if you are over 65, the entrance fee is also €7,50. The museum is open only on weekends during the month of December; from early January to the end of February, the museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
